Organise & run a stand

 

If you want to organise and run a stand yourself on behalf of the campaign, here’s some suggestions:

  • Practical: kit list: see below.

  • Visual: Please make sure the table/ gazebo or marquee looks attractive and represents the campaign well.
    Use laminated placards at eye level on a gazebo so people clearly see what the stand is promoting (A3 laminates can be used again and again, come rain or shine) Get creative!

  • Info & merchandise:
    Set up a table covered with a white cloth.
    Lay out leaflets, business cards , books for sale , badges and stickers with a ‘donations please’ sign and a donations jar on the table.
    Campaign t-shirts can be pegged on a jute string washing line in gazebos if you have any.

What you can do

  • Talk tools:
    A short intro talk, Slideshow & speakernotes, FAQs is great for you to refer to when answering questions.
    Make a note of any questions you cant answer and take an email address so that they campaign team can get back to them in response.

    You represent the Stop Ecocide campaign so please;
    Be positive, the campaign is a radical yet achievable proposal for protecting the Earth from further harm.
    It allows ALL OF US something we can practically do to help protect the Earth & contribute to systemic change.
    Age appropriate information.
    Avoid personal campaigns or blaming
    Avoid alcohol whilst interacting with the public

  • Sign up Earth Protectors: people can sign up on their phones.

  • Add to mailing list: If someone isn’t ready to sign up, they could join the mailing list and receive the newsletter. They can leave their email address with you OR add their details online.

  • If they would like to do a bit more research before signing up - give the web site addresses:

  • Social media: Link to campaign social media pages – FaceBook, Instagram and twitter.

  • Print blocks: If you have access to print blocks - then get printing tshirts! Email for advice
