Art and culture constitute two fundamental dimensions of what it means to be human.
They shape the very structure of our societies, guiding social life and providing identity to specific communities. Through art and culture, knowledge, values, beliefs, and practices are transmitted, ensuring the continuity and cohesion of human groups.
Culture reminds us of who we are and where we come from, laying the foundations for where we wish to go. Art, in all its forms, reminds us that imagination can transform the world; it helps us heal wounds, strengthen resilience, and weave new realities by sowing seeds of hope through beauty—with the Earth as our primary source of inspiration.
Art speaks to us in a universal language: that of human sensitivity. It offers a vital pathway for expressing our concerns, joys, and aspirations. For this reason, art and culture are indispensable tools for conveying the urgency of enacting a law to protect our planet—one that halts the destruction of the natural world and, like art, knows no borders, setting new parameters that embrace our shared global culture.
We invite artists of every kind, whatever their creative passion—painting, music, cinema, writing, poetry, sculpture, creative stage design, drawing, graffiti...—to join the Culture and Art for the Ecocide Law network through the registration form, and to help expand our mission of safeguarding the natural world for future generations, whether through their artistic expression or by joining our initiatives.
