Impact and Connect Panel: Croatia among the first EU countries to introduce ecocide in the Criminal Code

Thursday September 3rd, 5pm - 7pm

European Commission Representation in Croatia, Ul.

Augusta Cesarca 4–6, Zagreb

Croatia is among the first EU countries to propose ecocide law legislation.

How is the legal framework for environmental protection evolving, and what could the introduction of a particularly serious environmental crime – ecocide – mean for Croatia, institutional accountability and the future of climate policy?

At the upcoming Impact & Connect Panel, organised by International Institute for Climate Action (IICA), the panel will explore these developments and open a discussion on one of the increasingly important issues in environmental and climate policy.

Panelists:

Sue Miller (UK) – Chief Networks and Alliances Officer, Stop Ecocide International

Damir Habijan – Ministarstvo pravosuđa, uprave i digitalne transformacije RH

Marija Pujo Tadić – President of IICA, Special Adviser/Envoy for Climate Action of the Republic of Croatia

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED TO ATTEND.
