Would your child or pupil like to help co-create a short environmental video for schoolchildren around the world by contributing drawings for the animation?

We are inviting children/pupils between 10 and 12 years (or maybe a year or so either way!) from around the world to take part in this fun, but important project which will form the key piece of a suite of educational materials designed to introduce young people to the concept of a new law to protect nature.

It’s easy to take part - they just need to select and draw as many items as they like from a list of elements that we will incorporate into the video - full instructions are below and on the note to kids.

We have created a short film script which is designed to explain the concept of ecocide law in terms that young people who will not yet be familiar with environmental or legal issues will understand.

The plan is to animate the film using artwork and some voiced recordings created by children/pupils around the world, and to make the film and accompanying learning materials available to teachers globally.

Ecocide law is the focus of a rapidly growing global movement which aims to create an international safeguard for the natural world by creating personal criminal liability for the key decision makers behind the very worst acts of environmental damage, both in peacetime and in war.  It is designed to discourage those key individuals from authorising the type of projects or actions that will cause such damage, protecting the environment for our and future generations.
